No pressure indication

When the engine is in each speed state, the oil pressure gauge has no pressure indication. The main reasons for this failure are: the power line of the oil pressure gauge is open circuit; the electric heating coil in the oil pressure gauge is burned out; the oil pressure sensor is damaged; the engine lubrication system is faulty. The method of diagnosis and troubleshooting is: to turn on the ignition switch, remove the wire at one end of the oil pressure sensor, and perform an instant grounding test. If the oil pressure gauge pointer moves from "0" to the rising direction immediately, it means that the oil pressure gauge is good. At this time, the sensor can be removed and the removed wire can be refitted, and a non-pointed iron nail can be inserted into the oil hole of the sensor for the top pressure diaphragm test. If the oil pressure gauge moves, the sensor is good and the engine lubrication system is faulty. Otherwise, the sensor is faulty. If the oil pressure gauge still does not move during the grounding test of one end of the wire of the sensor, connect one end of the test light to the power supply terminal of the oil pressure gauge, and the other end is grounded. If the test light does not light up, the power supply circuit is broken; there is a fault in the pressure gauge itself or the line between the pressure gauge and the sensor. In this case, the grounding test can be performed on the terminal end of the oil pressure gauge. If the pressure gauge moves normally, it means that the wire between the pressure gauge and the sensor is broken, otherwise, the pressure gauge itself is damaged.


When the ignition switch is turned on, the maximum pressure value is indicated

After the ignition switch is turned on, the engine has not yet started, and the oil pressure gauge pointer moves in the direction of the maximum pressure value. The cause of this failure may be the grounding of the oil pressure gauge to the sensor wire, etc.; the internal grounding of the oil pressure sensor. In this case, the ignition switch should be turned off immediately to avoid burning the pressure gauge. When checking, the sensor wire can be removed first, and then the ignition switch can be turned on for testing. If the needle no longer moves, it means that the sensor is short-circuited inside, and the sensor should be updated; if the needle still moves to the maximum pressure value, the pressure gauge should be checked and repaired to the short-circuit ground of the sensor wire.


The oil pressure warning light is off

The oil pressure gauge light does not come on whether the engine is running or not, but the light bulb is fine. The reasons for this failure are mostly: the oil pressure sensor switch is damaged; the alarm indicator lead wire to the sensor switch is disconnected. The diagnosis and elimination methods for this kind of fault are turn the ignition switch to the working gear, short-circuit the oil pressure sensor switch plug lead and its shell (blue) with a wire, observe the oil pressure warning indicator, if the indicator light is on, it is the oil pressure sensor The switch is faulty and should be replaced if damaged. If the indicator light is not on, the oil pressure alarm indicator switch on the instrument panel is open circuit, and the wiring harness should be repaired.


Oil pressure indicator light does not go out

After the engine is running, the oil pressure indicator light does not go out. The reason for this failure is: the oil pressure gauge sensor switch is damaged; the alarm indicator lead is connected to the sensor switch grounding. In case of such failure, turn the ignition switch to the working gear, remove the lead wire of the switch socket of the oil pressure alarm sensor, and observe the oil pressure indicator light. If the indicator light is off, connect the oil pressure gauge alarm indicator light wire of the instrument panel to the grounding iron of the sensor switch, and the wiring harness should be inspected.
